Kanchanaburi
The city in western Thailand. A tourist destination famous for the movie "The Bridge on the River Kwai". Traces of the war include the Allied Cemetery and the War Museum. There are many reasonably priced accommodations. The water of the Kuayai River is very clean.
Tourist spot
1. Clock Tower
It is located at the Three-Way Junction of the main roads that the entrance to the city. If tourists come to this city by bus, they will see this clock tower. If you turn left at this intersection, ou will find the bus terminal, and if you turn right, you will find the railway station.
2. Death Railway Museum
The museum established in 2003.
Exhibits materials related to the history of Burma Railway construction and the lifestyle of POWs.

3. JEATH War Museum
Reproduce the state of the Japanese POW camp involved in the construction of the Burma Railway during World War II.
"JEATH" is an acronym for J = Japan, E = England, A = Australia, T = Thailand, and H = Holland.

4. River Kwai Bridge
The bridge over the Kwai Yai River, where the Burma Railway laid by the Japanese Army passes during World War II. It was repaired after the war, but the arch part is original and retains the remnants of that time. Visitors can walk across to the opposite bank. The bridge is the destination of most travelers to the city and is always crowded during the day.

2. Kanchanaburi Railway Station
Although fares on the State Railway of Thailand are generally low price, this route is very expensive compared to other routes. Even a short ride costs 100B. This is probably because the main users are tourists. There is a bus terminal within walking distance, so local residents seem to mainly use the bus as a transportation.
3. River Kwai Bridge Railway Station
This train station is located right next to the famous bridge(River Kwai Bridge). There is also a platform on the opposite side of the river across the bridge. When I came back from Tamtok tour, I got off at this station and walked around the area.
4. Rental bicycle
It's located at the storefront in the shopping district, so it can be easily find. 50THB a day. It might be a little more expensive at the hotel.
5. Rental motorcycle
Most hotels handle it.
